Aryon Hoselton is a member of Space 1026, a wholly independent, artist-run collective and one of the linchpins of Philadelphia’s DIY arts community. Space 1026’s two floors on Arch Street provide studio and exhibition spaces for work in painting, silk-screening, graphic design, audio-video production and more by dozens of members and collaborators. In its capacity as a community space, it has sheltered a variety of other projects over the years, including such local gems as the Philadelphia Independent, a broadsheet newspaper that operated on a wing and a prayer in the first half of this decade. Space 1026 has participated in group shows from San Francisco to New York.
