Ben Ahles


Ben Ahles received his BA with high honors from Wesleyan University in 2008.  He works primarily in sculpture and installation, in media including cabinetry, metal welding and hand-sewing.   His work was recently featured in the Brucennial, a group show curated by the Brooklyn artist collaborative the Bruce High Quality Foundation, and Salting The Excellence at Work Gallery, Brooklyn.  His sculpture in Piles, Please Just Let Me Wander, addresses the possessions we unwillingly or unconsciously accumulate in a domestic setting, calling attention to the simultaneous desire to rid oneself of these possessions and the comfort they can also provide.  He lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.  For more information, please visit his website at http://www.benahles.com.
