Emilie Selden received her BA from Amherst College in Amherst, MA and her MA from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. She has exhibited in Amherst, Philadelphia, and New York, and was recently granted an artist residency at New York Studio Gallery. Emilie’s installation, Like Butter Played Toast, was created specifically for Piles and will feature a selection of her recent drawings. These miniature replications of everyday objects like dollar bills, post cards and photo ID’s reference and reimagine the things we accumulate in everyday life.
