Sam Martineau was born in Springfield, Ohio, and currently lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. Sam has exhibited throughout the US from New York to California, with many shows especially throughout Ohio. His most recent shows include Never and Again at ISCP, Brooklyn, NY; Brooklyn Artillery at Castle Braid, Brooklyn, NY; and Outside the Time Zone at Camel Art Space, Brooklyn, NY. His work Bin (LP Collages), featured in Piles, is a cumulative display of Sam’s signature LP collages, in which he methodically collects and collages on top of vintage record covers. Visitors can view the collages as though flipping through records at a music store, and can purchase a single collage (original record included) if desired.
